Kattekonge is the arcade game of slå katten af tønden — the Fastelavn barrel game. Everything in the app runs offline on your device: there is no account, no online play and nothing to set up.
Frequently asked questions
How do I hit the barrel?
Tap the screen right as the barrel reaches the low point of its swing — the floor glows gold inside the timing window. Swipe down to chop along the grain, swipe sideways for a glancing spin, or swipe up to go for the bottom.
What are kattedronning and kattekonge?
Whoever knocks out the barrel's bottom is crowned kattedronning (cat queen). Whoever brings down the very last stave becomes kattekonge (cat king). Both are shown in your Kroner cabinet.
Will I lose my progress?
No. Crowns, unlocked halls, costumes and your streak are saved on your device and are still there the next time you open the app. You can reset everything yourself from Settings → Start over.
The app is silent — what happened?
Check your device's silent switch and the volume, and check Settings inside the app: music, sound effects and haptics each have their own toggle and remember what you choose.
Why does the app ask for the camera or photo library?
Only if you choose to give your child a costume photo. The camera is used to take a new picture of your child; the photo picker lets you choose an existing one. Nothing is uploaded — see the privacy policy.
